A buffered optical fibre comprising an optical waveguide, at least one exterior coating (2) surrounding said optical waveguide (1) and a buffer coating (4) surrounding said at least one exterior coating (2, 3), wherein the said buffer coating is a tight buffer coating made of a material having a density of at least 1.2 Kg/dm3, a thermal conductivity of at least 0.4 W/m.K and comprising a polymeric matrix and an inorganic filler.

L'invention concerne une fibre optique tamponnée comportant un guide d'onde optique, au moins un revêtement extérieur (2) entourant ledit guide d'onde optique (1) et une protection secondaire (4) entourant ledit revêtement extérieur (2, 3), ladite protection secondaire étant une protection secondaire serrée fait d'une matière ayant une masse volumique d'au moins 1,2 kg/dm3, une conductivité thermique d'au moins 0,4 W/m.K et comportant une matrice polymère et une charge inorganique.
