A candle comprises a combination of a form piece (1) manufactured of a melting material, a burning wick (2) placed inside the form piece, as well as a shield element (3) covering the form piece and provided with an opening (A) placed in the upper edge of the candle in its position of use. The upper part (3b) of the shield element (3) is arranged to extend above the form piece (1) in the functional position of the candle. The upper part (3b) of the shield element (3) is arranged in the non-functional position of the shield element (3) to be placed above the lower part (3a) of the shield element (3) and or above the wick surface (4) of the form piece (1). Thus, the candle has in the non-functional position substantially the size of the form piece (1). For making the candle functional, the upper part (3b) of the shield element (3) is ananged to be placed at the edge of the wick surface (4) of the form piece, preferably to surround said edge.
Un bougeoir se compose d'une pièce façonnée (1) en métal susceptible de fondre, d'une mèche susceptible de se consumer (2) placée à l'intérieur de la pièce façonnée et d'un élément écran (3) recouvrant la pièce façonnée et muni d'une ouverture (A) située sur le bord supérieur du bougeoir en configuration d'utilisation. Lorsque le bougeoir est en configuration d'utilisation, la partie supérieure (3b) de l'élément écran (3) est disposée de façon à dépasser de la pièce façonnée (1). Lorsque le bougeoir n'est pas en configuration d'utilisation, la partie supérieure (3b) de l'élément écran (3) est disposée au-dessus de la partie inférieure (3a) de l'élément écran (3) et/ou au-dessus de la surface à mèche (4) de la pièce façonnée (1). Lorsqu'il n'est pas en position d'utilisation, le bougeoir a substantiellement la dimension de la pièce façonnée (1). Pour mettre le bougeoir en position d'utilisation, la partie supérieure (3b) de l'élément écran (3) est disposée sur le bord supérieur de la surface à mèche (4) de la pièce façonnée, de préférence autour dudit bord.
