There is described a cap for closing by screwing-on a container, the neck of which is provided with a tearable lid, which cap is provided inwardly with a helical blade which as the cap is being screwed down on the container neck, enters said lid and cuts away part thereof, whereby said blade has a so-called "back" end, when considering the blade rotation direction, which is curved inwards relative to the helical blade, to raise the lid. Fig. 1.
