ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Capacitor bank for use in high voltage electric plants, such as series or shunt capacitors, or for use in filter circuits for high voltage direct current plants, is built up of a number of capacitor units arranged in a closed tank containing a gas for electrical insulation and for regulation of the temperature in the tank and with the capacitor units arranged in a rack. This capacitor bank is characterised in that the rack is made of electrically insulating material and constitutes partly supporting means for the capacitor units, partly the necessary insulation between the capacitor units, and partly is formed so that it constitutes guide means for the circulating gas in order to obtain substantially the same temperature of the different capacitor units.
