The invention is essentially a capacitor with a double electrical layer and comprising a housing (1), collecting metal plates (2) secured under pressure within the said housing, polarizable carbon electrodes (3), and separators (4) permeated by an aqueous electrolyte. The collecting plates (2) are of metal with a surface micro- hardness lower than the hardness of the material of the polarizable electrodes (3).

L'invention concerne essentiellement un condensateur présentant une double couche électrique, et comprenant un logement (1), des plaques de métal (2) collectrices fixées sous pression à l'intérieur dudit logement, des électrodes (3) au carbone polarisables, ainsi que des séparateurs (4) imprégnés d'un électrolyte aqueux. Lesdites plaques collectrices (2) sont en métal présentant une microdureté de surface inférieure à la dureté du matériau des électrodes polarisables (3).
