Methods are disclosed for identifying agents for the treatment of cancer and/or Fanconi anemia using Xenopus egg cell free extracts from which the endogenous DNA has been removed. The assays and method described herein are easily adaptable to high throughput techniques for example to screen large numbers of agents as possible agents for the treatment of cancer and/or Fanconi anemia. Kits for carrying out the disclosed assays and methods also are disclosed. Agents identified by these methods are also disclosed as are methods for treating a subject with cancer and/or Fanconi anemia with these agents.

L'invention concerne des procédés d'identification d'agents pour traiter un cancer et/ou une anémie de Fanconi au moyen d'extraits acellulaires d'oeufs de Xenopus desquels l'ADN endogène a été retiré. Les essais et procédés présentés peuvent être facilement adaptés à des techniques à haut débit, par exemple pour cribler un grand nombre d'agents constituant des agents éventuels pour le traitement d'un cancer et/ou d'une anémie de Fanconi. L'invention concerne également des nécessaires pour mettre en oeuvre ces essais et ces procédés. L'invention concerne enfin des agents identifiés par ces procédés, ainsi que des procédés pour traiter un sujet atteint d'un cancer et/ou d'une anémie de Fanconi au moyen de ces agents.
