In order to control the power consumption of consumers connected to an alternating current network, said consumers particularly comprising gas discharge lamps, in an easy and cost-effective manner, the invention provides a circuit arrangement (100) comprising a first and a second power switching unit (200, 300) and an inductor (190), wherein the power switching units are actuated by a controller (160) connected thereto in order to regulate the output voltage of the circuit arrangement (100) to a value of a reference alternating voltage that is synchronized with the input voltage, the amplitude of said reference alternating voltage being reduced relative to the amplitude of the supply voltage by an adjustable factor for controlling the power consumption of the consumers. The invention further provides a method for operating such a circuit arrangement, and a controller for use in such a circuit arrangement.
Afin de piloter simplement et économiquement la puissance absorbée par des consommateurs raccordés à un réseau à tension alternative, comprenant en particulier des lampes à décharge, l'invention prévoit un agencement de circuits (100) qui comprend une première et une deuxième unité de commutation de puissance (200, 300) ainsi qu'une bobine (190). Les unités de commutation de puissance sont pilotées par une unité de commande (160) qui leur est reliée afin de régler la tension de sortie de l'agencement de circuits (100) à la valeur d'une tension alternative de référence synchronisée avec la tension d'entrée, dont l'amplitude destinée à commander la puissance absorbée des consommateurs est réduite d'un facteur réglable par rapport à l'amplitude de la tension d'entrée. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé de fonctionnement d'un tel agencement de circuits ainsi qu'une unité de commande à utiliser dans un tel agencement de circuits.
