21223-827 ABSTRACT Disclosed is a clamp signal processing apparatus,relating to a signal processing apparatus for multiplexing and trans- mitting a video signal and a direct-current level reference signal of this viedo signal. The apparatus comprises a clamp circuit for clamping an input signal at a specified direct- current level, an A/D converter for converting the output of this clamp circuit from analog to digital in a specified sample period, a digital filter for applying an operation of a specified frequency characteristic to a signal corresponding to the direct-current level reference signal of the input signal within the out put signal of this A/D converter, a timing generation circuit for controlling the frequency characteristic of this digital filter in first and second frequency charac- teristics in a period of multiple times the above sample period, a counter circuit controlled by the timing generation signal, a CPU, an output port, a RAM, a data selector for changing over the output of the digital filter and the data bus of the CPU and supplying to the RAM, and an address selector for changing over the output of the counter circuit and the address bus of the CPU and supplying to the RAM, in which the data stored in the RAM by means of the CPU is calcu- lated, and the direct-current level of the input signal is detected and is sent out from the output port to be supplied into the clamp circuit, while using the data stored in the RAM, the quantity of noise contained in the input signal is detected and is sent out from the output port.
