A coated article is provided which may be heat treated (e.g., thermally tempered) in certain instances. In certain example embodiments, an interlayer of or including a metal oxide such as tin oxide is provided under an infrared (IR) reflecting layer so as to be located between respective layers comprising silicon nitride and zinc oxide. It has been found that the use of such a tin oxide inclusive interlayer results in significantly improved mechanical durability, thermal stability and/or haze characteristics. In certain example embodiments, a zinc oxide inclusive layer is provide over an IR reflecting layer in order to improve thermal stability. A zirconium oxide overcoat may also be provided in certain example instances.
La présente invention a trait à un article revêtu qui peut être soumis à un traitement thermique (par exemple, une trempe thermique) dans certains modes de réalisation. Dans certains modes de réalisation représentatifs, une couche intermédiaire à base de ou contenant un oxyde métallique tels que l'oxyde d'étain est prévu sous une couche réfléchissante d'infrarouge afin d'être disposée entre des couches respectives comportant du nitrure de silicium et de l'oxyde de zinc. On a observé que l'utilisation d'un telle couche d'inclusion à base d'oxyde d'étain entraîne une durabilité mécanique, une stabilité thermique et/ou des caractéristiques de trouble nettement améliorées. Dans certains modes de réalisation représentatifs, une couche d'inclusion à base d'oxyde de zinc est prévue sur une couche réfléchissante d'infrarouge en vue d'améliorer la stabilité thermique. Une couche d'enrobage peut être également prévue dans certains modes de réalisation représentatifs.
