ABSTRACT Coated glass and method of manufacturing same A coated glass substrate is described, bearing a coating comprising a pyrolytically formed metal oxide substratum ("the undercoat"), and a pyrolytically formed metal oxide upper coating stratum ("the overcoat") over theundercoat. The substratum comprises oxides of aluminium, titanium and vanadium. The coating may be formed by contacting the substrate at an undercoating station with an undercoating precursor material which comprises precursors of aluminium, titanium and vanadium oxides, in the presence of oxygen. Thereafter, a metal oxide upper coating stratum is pyrolytically formed over the undercoat. The coated substrate has an improved corrosion resistance, as determined by tests described herein.
