ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Color-forming para-sulfonamidodiphenylamines and their corresponding sulfonimide dyes are useful in imaging materials. The color-forming sulfonamidodiphenylamines are prepared by condensation reactions. The corresponding sulfonimide dyes are formed by oxidation of the color-forming sulfonamidodiphenylamines by means of a suitable oxidizing agent, such as the oxidized form of a cross-oxidizing silver halide developing agent.
