The typical Cast Iron or replica Claw Foot Bath tub typically involves the mounting of Brass, Iron or other metal type legs to support the tub. In this invention, Fibreglass or other composite materials are utilized in such a way as to provide a leg "shell", resembling their metal forbearers. Since the strength of the composite leg is not sufficient to support the tub's weight, especially when full of water and occupants, a metal inner leg is incorporated, which when installed on the tub will both provide sufficient strength for the tubs support, but also allow for the attachment of the composite leg as a cosmetic feature without discounting the integrity of the inner legs support requirements. Additionally, the inner support is produced in such a manner so that it will accept a variety of composite leg designs or styles, or allow for changes using a different style of leg treatment depending on customer needs and desires.
