ABSTRACT A pastel colored decorative grass composed of a plurality of individual filaments. The decorative grasses comprise a resinous material pigmented with a pastel color formulation composed by weight of about 55-77% of a white pigment paste, about 1-30% of a second pigment paste for coloring, about 15-28% of a slip agent, and, optionally, about 0.1-2% of a scenting agent. Alternatively, the decorative grass filaments may contain a fluorescent material, a photosensitive material, a thermal sensitive material, a moisture sensitive material or a luminescent material and may be opaque, translucent of transparent. Additionally, entire individual decorative grass filaments or at least a portion or portions of an individual decorative grass filament may contain various combinations of pastel color formulations, fluorescent materials, photosensitive materials, thermal sensitive materials, moisture sensitive materials or luminescent materials.
