Disclosed are compositions and methods of reducing water penetration through civil engineering structures which methods comprise applying to the structures a waterproofing agent pretreatment composition including SBR latex, SBS latex, natural rubber latex, polybutadiene latex, polychloroprene latex, polyvinyl acetate latex, nitrile latex, or combinations thereof, and optionally may include various freezing point depressing agents to enable use of the compositions and methods at or below 25°F. Also disclosed are packages including the latex-containing waterproofing agent pretreatment compositions and waterproofing agents.
Divulgation concernant des compositions et des méthodes pour réduire la pénétration de l'eau dans des structures du génie civil. Ces méthodes consistent à appliquer aux structures une composition de prétraitement à base d'agents d'imperméabilisation, contenant du latex SBR, du latex SBS, du latex de caoutchouc naturel, du latex de polybutadiène, du latex de polychloroprène, du latex de poly(acétate de vinyle), du latex de nitrile, ou une combinaison de ces produits, et, facultativement, divers agents abaissant le point de congélation pour permettre l'utilisation de ces compositions et méthodes à 25 degrés F ou moins. L'invention porte aussi sur des ensembles renfermant les compositions de prétraitement à base d'agents d'imperméabilisation, contenant des latex, ainsi que les agents d'imperméabilisation.
