Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to new compositions for increasing the cold resistance of cultivated plants. These compositions contain as active ingredient at least one compound of the general formula (I), Image (I) wherein n is an integer of 2 to 5, R1 and R2 each represent hydrogen or C1-5 alkyl, and R3 represents hydrogen, C1-5 alkyl or an unbonded lone pair of electrons, or an acid addition salt thereof in an amount of 0.01 to 70% by weight, together with a conventional diluent and/or additive. The plants treated with the compositions according to the invention are more resistant to cold and frost.
