The present invention provides a conduit housing assembly that includes a removable cover and a housing member. The cover of the housing assembly is capable of being easily removed and attached without the use of tools and is capable of forming an airtight seal. The cover is easily and conveniently removable from the housing member without requiring the use of tools. The cover has a configuration that closely conforms to the housing and has a pair of manually actuatable locking members that are engageable with the housing member. Locking members have upwardly extending levers pivotally attached to a downwardly extending threaded bolt and a clip extension having a threaded hole attached about the threaded bolt. The clip extension is actuatable to frictionally engage a lip on the open upper end of the housing for retaining the cover on the housing. A gasket may be positionable between the cover and the housing to ensure an airtight seal when the cover is locked onto the housing. The conduit housing assembly of the present invention may conveniently and reliably be interlocked to another conduit. The cover with latching components of the present invention is designed to be compatible with conventional conduit housing assemblies
