A device (20, 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) for consolidating compositions contained in partially filled dual chamber dispensing cartridges (42, 56) includes a body (22, 22a, 22c, 22d) having a pair of passages (24, 24a, 24c, 24d, 26, 26a, 26c, 26d), and first and second couplers (30, 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d, 32, 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d) for connecting the body (22, 22a, 22c, 22d) to first and second dual chamber dispensing cartridges (42, 56). Once the device (20, 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) is connected to two cartridges (42, 56), an applicator is connected to one of the cartridges (42, 56) and is used to expel any remaining compositions in such cartridge to chambers of the other cartridge. The contents of several partially empty cartridges can be consolidated in this manner so that a subsequent dispensing operation need not be interrupted to replace cartridges.
L'invention concerne un dispositif (20, 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) qui permet de regrouper les compositions contenues dans des cartouches de distribution à double compartiment partiellement remplies (42, 56): il comprend un corps (22, 22a, 22c, 22d) ayant une paire de passages (24, 24a, 24c, 24d, 26, 26a, 26c, 26d) ainsi qu'un premier coupleur et un second coupleur (30, 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d, 32, 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d) permettant de mettre en communication le corps (22, 22a, 22c, 22d) à la première cartouche et à la seconde cartouche de distribution à double compartiment (42, 56). Une fois que le dispositif (20, 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) est relié aux deux cartouches (42, 56), un applicateur est raccordé à l'une des cartouches (42, 56) afin d'extraire toute composition se trouvant encore à l'intérieur de la cartouche en direction des compartiments de l'autre cartouche. On peut ainsi regrouper le contenu de plusieurs cartouches partiellement vides de manière à ne pas interrompre les opérations de distribution ultérieures lorsqu'il faut remplacer des cartouches.
