ABSTRACT CONSTANT VELOCITY RATIO UNIVERSAL JOINTS A constant velocity ratio universal joint of the tripod type, comprising an outer joint member (10) having guide grooves (20) and an inner joint member (12) having three arms (13) on each of which is carried a roller (21) for rotation about, sliding lengthwise of, and tilting relative to, the arm; wherein each roller is prevented from tilting in its guide groove by a guide element (30-34) which engages a base portion (35) of its groove to slide therealong and also engages diametrically opposed parts of the roller (21).
