A containment system for grain and other particulate materials constructed of a plurality of bolted steel panels is disclosed. A flexible membrane is attached along the upper edge of the wall formed by the bolted steel sections, which flexible membrane forms a roof over the storage area defined by the wall. By the addition of one or more membrane supports, it is possible. to support the membrane above the floor of the storage area and to actually position the membrane above the upper edge of the wall, which. would in turn allow for loading above the upper edge of the wall while still protecting the material contained therein from the elements. Telescopic membrane supports are particularly contemplated, which would allow for the rapid assembly of this system and raising or lowering the membrane roof dependent upon the load contained in the system. Access doors, unloading ports, drying systems or the like might be added.
