An ingot mould for a continuous casting plant including a mould body (22) defining an axial flow channel (18) for molten metal and containing a cooling circuit for the axial flow channel (18). The mould body (22) is at least partially surrounded by an outer shell (44) in which it is axially supported by means of a hydraulic/pneumatic suspension device such as a rotationally symmetrical cylinder with its axis of symmetry coaxial with the casting axis. Said hydraulic/pneumatic suspension device is preferably controlled by a hydraulic/pneumatic control system (72) designed to oscillate the mould body (22) about a reference position.
On présente une lingotière d'une installation de coulée continue comprenant un corps de lingotière (22), qui définit un canal d'écoulement axial (18) pour un métal en fusion et qui renferme un circuit de refroidissement de ce canal d'écoulement axial (18). Le corps de lingotière (22) est entouré au moins partiellement par une carcasse extérieure (44) dans laquelle il est supporté axialement à l'aide d'un dis- positif de suspension hydraulique/pneumatique, par exemple un cylindre à symmétrie de révolution dont l'axe de symmétrie est coaxial à l'axe de coulée. Ce dispositif de suspension hydraulique/pneumatique est de préférence asservi à un système de commande hy- draulique/pneumatique (72) conçu pour faire osciller le corps de lingotière (22) autour d'une position de référence.
