COPPER ENCASED FLAT ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR MANUFACTURE AND CAPACITOR Abstract of the Disclosure A copper-encased flat electrolytic capacitor is produced by sealing a flat capacitor section between heat-sealable polymer-copper laminates. The polymer side of each laminate is adjacent the capacitor section, and the copper side forms the exterior of the sealed capacitor unit. Leads may be attached to the opposite copper surfaces of the capacitor, or electrical connec- tion may be made to leg-like extensions of the laminates that serve as leads.
