A non-oil-based release aid used in a creping process for releasing a paper web from a Yankee dryer in the manufacture of a paper product having a formula for its block version as follows: R- (OC3H6)y(OC2H4)z OH; where R is a C8 to C20 alkyl or alkylaryl group, y plus z is greater than 20, and y is greater than z. The y moles of propylene oxide (OC3H6) and the z moles of ethylene oxide (OC2H4) may be added in random or block fashion. Examples of the chemical compound for the release aid are alkoxylated alkylphenols, alkoxylated fatty acids, and alkoxylated alcohols. A preferred chemical compound is an alkoxylated tall oil fatty acid. The release aid may optionally comprise from about 0 % to about 20 % by weight of an emulsifying surfactant. The release aid may comprise 70 % to 100 % by weight of the chemical compound, 0 % to 20 % by weight of emulsifying surfactants, and 0 % to 10 % by weight water. The release aid provides lubrication between the doctor blade and the Yankee dryer; allows the release of the paper web from the Yankee dryer, and improves the absorbency of the paper product.
L'invention concerne un déclencheur de crêpage non-huileux utilisé dans un processus de crêpage permettant de libérer une bande de papier d'un sécheur frictionneur lors de la fabrication d'un produit papier présentant, dans sa version en bloc, la formule suivante: R-(OC3H6)y(OC2H4)z OH; dans laquelle R représente un alkyle de C8 à C20 ou un groupe alkylaryle, la somme y plus z est supérieur à 20, et y est supérieur à z. Les y moles d'oxyde de propylène (OCsH6) et les z moles d'oxyde d'éthylène (OC2H4) peuvent être ajoutées de manière aléatoire ou en bloc. Parmi des exemples de composés chimiques favorisant le déclenchement du crêpage on trouve: des alkylphénols alcoxylés, des acides gras alcoxylés, et des alcools alcoxylés. Un composé chimique optimal consiste en un acide gras de résine liquide alcoxylé. Le déclencheur peut éventuellement comprendre d'environ 0 % à environ 20 % en poids d'un tensio-actif émulsifiant; il peut comprendre également de 70 % à 100 % en poids du composé chimique, de 0 % à 20 % en poids de tensio-actifs émulsifiants, et de 0 % à 10 % en poids d'eau. Le déclencheur permet une lubrification entre la racle et le séchoir frictionneur; il permet la libération de la bande de papier du séchoir frictionneur et ils améliore le pouvoir absorbant du produit papier.
