ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A cross member, according to the present invention, is part of a ceiling grid system which includes cross members attached to main grid members clips by means of removable clips. Each removable clip includes detents and a locking tongue. The cross member has a 'T' bar section. The 'T' bar section immediately adjacent each end has a receiving port in the web for receiving the detents of the removable clip. Adjacent the receiving port remote the end of the 'T' section, the 'T' bar section has a locking port for receiving the locking tongue of the removable clip.
