A biopharmaceutical cryopreservation system (100) includes a container (104) having an outer surface area with the container being adapted to contain a biopharmaceutical material (110) for freezing and thawing therein. The container may be received in a cryocooling enclosure (106) having an interior cavity (108) configured to receive it. The cryocooling enclosure includes at least one heat transfer surface configured to contact the outer surface area of the container when the cryocooling enclosure interior cavity receives the container. Also, a cryocooler (114) is thermally coupled to the cryocooling enclosure and is configured to flow a fluid to the at least one heat transfer surface to control the temperature of the heat transfer surface and the biopharmaceutical material within the container. The fluid is isolated from contacting the container. Further, a temperature sensor (130) is thermally coupled to the cryocooling enclosure, the at least one heat transfer surface, the fluid and/or the cryocooler.
L'invention se rapporte à un système de cryopréservation biopharmaceutique (100) comportant un contenant (104) qui présente une zone de surface extérieure, le contenant étant conçu de manière à contenir un matériau biopharmaceutique (110) à congeler et décongeler à l'intérieur. Ce contenant peut être installé dans une enveloppe cryoréfrigérante (106) pourvue d'une cavité interne (108) configurée de manière à la recevoir. Cette enveloppe cryoréfrigérante comporte au moins une surface de transfert de chaleur configurée de manière à être en contact avec la zone de surface externe du contenant lorsque la cavité intérieure de l'enveloppe cryoréfrigérante reçoit le contenant. Par ailleurs, un cryoréfrigérant (114) est également thermocouplé à l'enveloppe cryoréfrigérante et est configuré de manière à faire couler un fluide vers au moins une surface de transfert de chaleur et à contrôler la température de la surface de transfert de chaleur et du matériau biopharmaceutique à l'intérieur du contenant. Le fluide est isolé de manière à ne pas être mis en contact avec le contenant. Outre cela, un détecteur de température (130) est thermocouplé à l'enveloppe cryoréfrigérante, à au moins une surface de transfert de chaleur, au fluide et/ou au cryoréfrigérant.
