A custom molded cushion is provided. The custom molded cushion preferably comprises a multilayer structure comprising a first resilient layer and a second layer. The second layer comprises a foamimpregnated with a curable resin. The first and second layers areadapted to deform against a body part of a patient and to create and retain an impression of the body part. The first and second layers are selected to act in concert to distribute the pressure applied to the cushion. Methods of preparing such custom molded cushions are also provided.

L'invention porte sur un coussin moulé personnalisé comprenant, de préférence, une structure multicouche constituée d'une première couche souple et d'une seconde couche comportant de la mousse imprégnée d'une résine durcissable. Ces deux couches sont conçues pour pouvoir se déformer au contact d'une partie du corps d'un patient et à conserver l'empreinte de la partie du corps une fois celle-ci constituée. Ces deux couches ont été sélectionnées pour agir de concert afin de répartir la pression appliquée au coussin. L'invention porte également sur des procédés de production de ces coussins moulés personnalisés.
