The invention relates to a cutting and transport device for webs of material (1) made of paper or film, comprising at least one cutting tool (7) which cuts the web of material running through the cutting or transport device. The invention is characterised in that the cutting and transport devices (22) are reinforced by means of a path reinforcing device (10) which cuts the web of material comprising the reinforced material (13) on points which are later cut by the cutting tool (7).
