Subject of the present invention are pharmaceutical compositions containing nonpeptidic cystine derivatives of general formula (I) wherein R1 and R3 may be the same or different and are selected from hydrogen, an aromatic or non- aromatic carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring or a linear or branched saturated or unsaturated alkyl group of 1 to 15 carbon atoms which can be interrupted by a hetero atom and which can be substituted by an aromatic or non-aromatic carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring. R2 and R4 may be the same or different and are selected from hydrogen, a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl group of 1 to 15 carbon atoms which can be interrupted by a hetero atom and which can be substituted by an aromatic or non-aromatic carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring and A is a valency bond or a -CO-, -SO2-, -NHCO-, -NHCS- or - O-CO- group, their pharmacologically acceptable salts and optically active forms thereof and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, for the treatment of diseases selected from tumor growth and metastasis, inflammatory diseases like osteo- and rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, periodontitis, restenosis, diseases caused by bacteria such as meningitis, sun- induced skin aging and Alzheimers disease and new compounds.
Compositions pharmaceutiques contenant des dérivés de cystine non peptidiques de formule générale (I) dans laquelle R¿1? et R¿3? peuvent être identiques ou différents et sont choisis parmi hydrogène, un noyau carbocyclique ou hétérocyclique aromatique ou non aromatique ou un groupe alkyle saturé ou insaturé linéaire ou ramifié, ayant 1 à 15 atomes de carbone, qui peut être interrompu par un hétéroatome et qui peut être substitué par un noyau carbocyclique ou hétérocyclique aromatique ou non aromatique, R¿2? et R¿4? peuvent être identiques ou différents et sont choisis parmi hydrogène, un groupe alkyle saturé ou insaturé linéaire ou ramifié, ayant 1 à 15 atomes de carbone, qui peut être interrompu par un hétéroatome et qui peut être substitué par un noyau carbocyclique ou hétérocyclique aromatique ou non aromatique et A est une liaison de valence ou un groupe -CO-, -SO¿2?-, -NHCO-, -NHCS- ou -O-CO-, ainsi que sels pharmacologiquement acceptables et formes optiquement actives desdits dérivés, excipients pharmaceutiquement acceptables, pour le traitement de maladies, dont la croissance tumorale et les métastases, les maladies inflammatoires telles que l'arthrite rhumatoïde et l'arthrose, l'ostéoporose, la sclérose en plaques, la parodontite, la resténose, les maladies provoquées par des bactéries telles que la méningite, le vieillissement de la peau induit par le soleil et la maladie d'Alzheimer, et nouveaux composés.
