A reactor system for decontamination of water by photolytic oxidation utilizing near blackbody radiation is disclosed. The system comprises a reaction chamber housing (202) defining an internal space with an inlet (220) and an outlet (224); and a plurality of broadband radiators (230) generating radiant energy with wavelengths between about 150 nm and about 3 µm, the broadband radiators (230) disposed within the reaction chamber housing (202) such that a sufficient dosage of broadband radiation deeply penetrates the water matrix and irradiates the contaminants and/or the oxidant within the internal space of the reaction chamber housing (202) thereby causing photolytic oxidation of the contaminants.
La présente invention concerne un système de réacteur pour décontamination de l'eau au moyen d'un un processus d'oxydation/réduction photolytique faisant intervenir le rayonnement proche du corps noir. Ce système comprend une chambre de réaction (202) définissant un espace interne avec une entrée (220) et une sortie (224); et une pluralité de radiateurs à bande large (230) dégageant une énergie radiante de longueur d'onde comprise entre environ 150 nm et environ 3 µm. Les dits radiateurs (230) sont disposés dans la chambre de réaction (202) de telle sorte qu'une dose suffisante de rayonnement à bande large pénètre profondément dans la matrice de l'eau et irradie les substances contaminantes et/ ou substance oxydante à l'intérieur de la chambre de réaction (202), provoquant de ce fait une oxydation photolytique des substances contaminantes.
