A decorative lighting strand for deco-rating a surface having a limb with a branch extending from the limb, where the strand has a length of wire connecting a plurality of decorative bulbs and mid-way the strand there is a hub which can be secured on the limb so that the strand can be extended from the hub along the branch from each side of the limb, and the invention includes multiple such strands elec-trically connected together each of which can be ar-ranged in a horizontal plane of the surface. The inven-tion also includes the method of decorating a surface with one or more such lighting strands which includes the steps of attaching the hub midway the length of the strand to the limb and extending the strand along one or more branches from each side of the hub.
La présente invention concerne une guirlande lumineuse décorative destinée à décorer une surface qui comporte un élément avec une branche s'étendant depuis cet élément, et où la guirlande a une longueur de câble qui relie une pluralité d'ampoules décoratives, et où, au milieu de la guirlande on trouve un plot qui peut être fixé sur l'élément de telle sorte que la guirlande peut s'étendre depuis ce plot le long de la branche de chaque côté de l'élément. L'invention comprend de multiples guirlandes de ce type reliées électriquement, chacune pouvant être disposée dans un plan horizontal de la surface. L'invention concerne également le procédé de décoration d'une surface au moyen d'une ou de plusieurs de ces guirlandes lumineuses qui comprend les étapes suivantes ; fixation du plot à l'élément, au milieu de la longueur de la guirlande et extension de la guirlande le long d'une ou de plusieurs branches de chaque côté du plot.
