Disclosed is a new and improved, environmentally acceptable and negligibly corrosive deicing composition comprising by-products from a wet milling process of com which by-products are biodegradable. The invention also relates to the use of a deicing composition in a manner that helps to reduce the buildup of snow and ice on roads, bridges and other outdoor surfaces.
La présente invention concerne une nouvelle composition dégivrante améliorée, écologiquement admissible et faiblement corrosive. Elle est constituée de sous-produits d'un processus d'extraction de l'amidon du maïs par voie humide, lesquels sous-produits sont biodégradables. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'une composition de dégivrage selon une procédure favorisant une moindre accumulation de neige ou de verglas sur les routes, les ponts et autres surfaces extérieures.
