The present invention provides new derivatives of 4-or 5-aminosalicylic acid, and a pharmaceutical composition containing these derivatives of 4-or 5- aminosalicylic acid as active ingredients, useful for the treatment of intestinal diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and for the prevention/treatment of colon cancer. More particularly, these derivatives comprise a hydrogen sulfide releasing moiety linked via an azo, an ester, an anhydride, a thioester or an amide linkage to a molecule of 4-or 5-aminosalicylic acid. Furthermore, the present invention provides a process for preparing these compounds and their use for treating IBD and IBS and the prevention/treatment of colon cancer.
La présente invention concerne de nouveaux dérivés d'acide 4- ou 5-aminosalicylique, ainsi qu'une composition pharmaceutique contenant ces dérivés d'acide 4- ou 5-aminosalicylique comme ingrédients actifs, qui est utilisée pour traiter des maladies intestinales comme une maladie inflammatoire de l'intestin (inflammatory bowel disease: IBD) et le syndrome du côlon irritable (irritable bowel syndrome: IBS) et pour prévenir/traiter un cancer du côlon. Ces dérivés comprennent en particulier un groupe de libération de sulfure d'hydrogène qui est lié via une liaison azo, ester, anhydride, thioester ou amide à une molécule d'acide 4- ou 5-aminosalicylique. Cette invention concerne également un procédé pour préparer ces composés, ainsi que leur utilisation pour traiter une maladie inflammatoire de l'intestin et le syndrome du côlon irritable et pour prévenir/traiter un cancer du côlon.
