L'invention a trait à un dispositif permettant d'insérer/d'extraire des signaux optiques dans/ à partir d'un trajet de transmission optique, comprenant un moyen d'entrée destiné à introduire au moins deux signaux optiques de longueurs d'ondes distinctes, comportant: un moyen de sélection spectrale pour l'envoi d'au moins un premier signal à un premier trajet optique, au moins un deuxième signal à un deuxième trajet optique, au moins un moyen de commutation sélective de longueur d'onde le long d'un desdits premier et deuxième trajets optiques au moins, pour insérer ou extraire au moins un signal optique possédant une longeur d'onde prédéterminée, sélectionnée à partir des longueurs d'onde des signaux optiques.
