ABSTRACT The invention is concerned with a device for measuring individually the content of each of at least two types of substances in a liquid suspension wherein the density of each substance is approximately equal and known. The device according to the invention com- prises a density meter for measuring the density of the suspension and the density of the liquid in which the substances are suspended, in order to determine the difference in density; measuring means for measuring particle concentration and the ratio of the volume of the suspended substances and the liquid; and calcul- ating means electrically connected to the density meter and measuring means to adjust the signal received from the density meter by use of the signal received from the measuring means according to the relationship: SF = ka U1 + kb U2 SM =kc U1 + kd U2 where SF is the content of suspended substance of the first type substance, SM is the content of suspended substance of the second type, U1 is the signal received from the density meter by the calculating means, U2 is the signal received from the measuring means by the calculating means for measurement of particle concen- tration and ka, kb, kc and kd are constants of propor- tionality.
