2048615 9010568 PCTABS00002 A riding scooter that may be assembled and disassembled without the use of tools is formed of components including front (82) and rear (160) sections, a steering tiller (27), battery casings (84) and seat (180) which are of a size and weight such that may be handled by a person of modest physical strength. The scooter's front and rear sections have overlapping interengaging parts (123, 17) that are biased together in the operative position by the weight of the sections alone, however the seat assembly acts to reinforce the biased engagement of the front and rear sections of the scooter.
