A light diffusing film for a back light, display is described. The light diffusing film (114) includes a unitary film consisting essentially of polycarbonate and a uniformly dispersed anti-static material in an amount sufficient to impart anti-static properties to the film. The anti-static material may comprise a fluorinated phosphonium sulfonate. The film may additionally include at least one textured surface for the low scattering of light. Alternatively, the film may additionally include a uniformly dispersed acrylic bulk scattering additive of particles having a mean particle size of from about 3 to about 10 microns and present in an amount from about 2 to about 7 percent by weight percent for the high scattering of light.
La présente invention a trait à un film de diffusion de lumière pour un écran d'affichage à rétroéclairage. Le film de diffusion de lumière comporte une film unitaire constitué essentiellement de polycarbonate et une matière antistatique en dispersion uniforme en une quantité suffisante pour procurer des propriétés antistatiques au film. La matière antistatique peut comporter un sulfonate de phosphonium fluoré. Le film peut également comporter au moins une surface texturée pour la faible diffusion de lumière. En variante, le film peut comporter en outre un additif de diffusion massique acrylique en dispersion uniforme de particules ayant une granulométrie moyenne comprise entre environ 3 et environ 10 microns et présente en une quantité comprise entre environ 2 et environ 7 % en poids pour la diffusion élevée de lumière.
