ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A dolly for supporting a tank standing on end is provided with a T-shaped plastic base formed by a crossarm and a leg that are joined by an adjustable in- terlocking connection. Both ends of the crossarm and the end of the leg remote from the crossarm are provid- ed with arcuate grooves that receive the bead surround- ing the bottom of the tank. The heads of fastening screws extend over the grooves to retain the bead therein. A metal axle rod extends through a longitudi- nal passage in the crossarm. This passage has an open top in the region between the grooves in the crossarm so that a tank on the base engages the rod to be sup- ported directly thereby.
