A machine (4) is provided for removing dust from carbodies, before the paint coatings are applied to said bodies. Said machine is built on the principle of feather rollers rotary mounted about their central axis and rotationally driven, such as to engage the carbodies moved forward on a conveyor. At least two feather rollers (26, 27) extend one after the other, and are synchronously driven, with the angle between the respective axis (28, 29) of the consecutive rollers (26, 27) being adjustable by changing the tilting of at least one of their axis (28, 29). The machine can therefore accommodate varying carbody profiles. Such a design is applicable to dust removing roof and side machines.

La machine (4) est prévue pour dépoussiérer les carrosseries, avant l'application de couches de peinture sur celles-ci. Elle est conçue sur le principe de rouleaux de plumes montés tournants autour de leur axe central et entraînés en rotation, de manière à venir en contact avec des carrosseries entraînées en avant sur un convoyeur. Au moins deux rouleaux de plumes (26, 27) sont disposés dans le prolongement l'un de l'autre, et sont entraînés en synchronisme, l'angle formé par les axes respectifs (28, 29) des rouleaux consécutifs (26, 27) étant ajustable, par changement de l'inclinaison de l'un au moins de ces axes (28, 29). La machine s'adapte ainsi à des profils variables de carrosseries. Cette conception s'applique aux machines de toit et aux machines latérales de dépoussiérage.
