A method and system for an early warning detection of bioterrorism events is a website (40) along with associated database server (50) and a database (60) that includes obtaining temperature readings from a statistical sample of individuals in a community, and comparing the individual readings to one or more detection thresholds spaced apart by predetermined values with at least one of the thresholds being below the normally accepted temperature range defined as a low-grade fever. The comparison is then used to identify and evaluate a community's potential infection by a biological warfare agent so that early therapeutic action may be taken.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système (Figure 1) de détection précoce d'évènements de terrorisme biologique, le système étant constitué d'un site web (40), d'un serveur associé (50) de base de données et d'une base de données (80), le procédé consistant à obtenir des relevés de température à partir d'un échantillon statistique d'individus dans une communauté et à comparer les relevés individuels à un ou à plusieurs seuils de détection dont les espacements représentent des valeurs déterminées avec au moins un des seuils inférieur au domaine de température normalement reconnu comme subfébrile. La comparaison est alors utilisée afin d'identifier et d'évaluer une infection potentielle de communauté par un agent de la guerre biologique ce qui permet d'entreprendre une action thérapeutique précoce.
