An elastomeric fluorocopolymer comprising repeating unit (l) derived from tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene, vinylidene fluoride, or a fluoromonomer represented by the general formula: CF2=CF-O-Rf (wherein Rf is saturated perfluoro- alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms or perfluoro(alkoxyalkyl)) and repeating units (m) derived from a monomer represented by the general formula: CR1R2=CR3COOCH=CH2 (wherein R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, C1-10 alkyl, or C1-10 alkoxyalkyl containing an ethereal oxygen atom; and R3 is hydrogen, fluoro, or methyl) at an (m)/(l) mole ratio of 0.0001 to 0.1; and an elastomeric fluorocopolymer composition comprising (A) the above elastomeric fluoro- copolymer, (B) an unsaturated polyfunctional compound, and (C) oxide and/or hydroxide of a divalent metal. The fuorocopolymer and the composition are excellent in crosslinking reactivity and can give crosslinked rubbers excellent in physical properties.

L~invention porte sur un fluorocopolymère élastomère comprenant une unité répétitive (l) dérivée de tétrafluoréthylène, d~hexafluoropropylène, de fluorure de vinylidène ou d~un fluoromonomère représenté par la formule générale : CF2=CF-O-Rf (où Rf est un perfluoroalkyle saturé de 1 à 8 atomes de carbone ou un perfluoro(alkoxyalkyle)) et des unités répétitives (m) dérivées d~un monomère représenté par la formule générale : CR1R2=CR3COOCH=CH2 (où R1 et R2 sont chacun de l~hydrogène, un alkyle en C1-10 ou un alkoxyalkyle en C1-10 contenant un atome d~oxygène éthéré ; et R3 est de l~hydrogène, un fluoré ou un méthyle) dans un rapport molaire (m)/(l) de 0,0001 à 0,1 ; et une composition de fluorocopolymère élastomère comprenant (A) le fluorocopolymère élastomère ci-dessus, (B) un composé polyfonctionnel non saturé et (C) un oxyde et/ou un hydroxyde d~un métal divalent. Le fluorocopolymère et la composition sont excellents de par leur réactivité de réticulation et peuvent produire des caoutchoucs réticulés aux excellentes propriétés physiques.
