An elastomeric stator for an eccentric spiral pump is provided. The stator has a lining made of elastomeric material and a hollow chamber for a rotor. The hollow chamber has a double or multiple spiral configuration. A rigid casing surrounds the lining and is spiraled in conformity with the inner contour of the stator. The casing has a practically uniform thickness over its length. Attachment rings are secured to ends of the casing and serve for joining the stator to other pump parts. The inner peripheral surface of the attachment ring has a contour that corresponds at least substantially to the inner contour of the stator.
