The present invention provides several improvements in a slip ring (36) that is adapted to provide electrical contact between a rotor (42) and stator (40). In one aspect, a brush tube (39) is crimped around the upper marginal end portions of a plurality of individual fibers (38) inserted therein. In another aspect, a collimator tube (41) extends downwardly beyond the end of the brush tube to limit lateral movement of the fibers in the bundle when the rotor rotates. In yet another arrangement, a spring (55, 56) is ar~ranged to bear against a current-carrying conductor to adjustably vary the force by which the lower ends of the fibers are urged to move toward the rotor.
L'invention concerne plusieurs améliorations apportées à une bague collectrice (36) qui est conçue pour établir un contact électrique entre un rotor (42) et un stator (40). Dans un aspect, un tube-brosse (39) est serré autour des parties d'extrémité marginale supérieure d'une pluralité de fibres individuelles (38) qui y sont insérées. Dans un autre aspect, un tube collimateur (41) s'étend vers le bas au-delà de l'extrémité du tube-brosse afin de limiter le mouvement latéral des fibres dans le faisceau lorsque le rotor tourne. Dans un aspect supplémentaire, un ressort (55, 56) est disposé de façon à prendre appui contre un conducteur de courant afin de modifier de façon ajustable la force qui pousse les extrémités inférieures des fibres vers le rotor.
