It would seem to me that if one could divert the water, say from, (Lake Ontario) by means of, or the likes of, a funnel or trap door, below the water line of the lake and have it drop onto an impeller by means of gravity, (similar to what Niagara Falls does) that we could generate enough none polluting electricity to help Ontario Power Generation supply power to it's customers, without the use of nuclear or coal fired plants. The water that is diverted from the lake to drive the impeller, would then be pumped back into the lake by means of a corkscrew driver being driven off of the drive shaft mounted to the impeller, thus creating it's own recycling system back into the lake. The drive shaft coming off the impeller and routed to land could then drive a generator, which could be used to produce a 24 / 7 renewable source of electrical energy without any greenhouse gases such as coal fired generators.
