The invention relates to glass yarns and glass yarn constructions coated with an electrically conductive coating composition including (based on the solid weight) 6-50 wt %, preferably 6-45 wt %, of a film-forming agent; 5-40 wt % of at least one compound selected from plasticizers, surfactants and/or dispersants; 20-75 wt % of electrically conductive particles; 0-10 wt % of a dopant; 0-10 wt % of a thickener; and 0-15 wt % of additives. The invention further relates to the electrically conductive coating composition used to coat said yarns and yarn constructions, a method for making same, and composite materials including said yarns or yarn constructions. The invention is useful for making constructions and composite materials which can be resistively heated or used as electromagnetic armour.

L'invention concerne des fils de verre et des structures de fils de verre revêtus d'une composition de revêtement conducteur de l'électricité qui comprend (en % en poids de matières solides) : 6 à 50 % d'un agent filmogène, de préférence 6 à 45 ; 5 à 40 % d'au moins un composé choisi parmi les agents plastifiants, les agents tensioactifs et/ou les agents dispersants ; 20 à 75 % de particules conductrices de l'électricité ; 0 à 10 % d'un agent dopant ; 0 à 10 % d'un agent épaississant ; 0 à 15 % d'additifs. L'invention concerne également la composition de revêtement conducteur de l'électricité utilisée pour revêtir lesdits fils et structures de fils, leur procédé de fabrication, et les matériaux composites incluant ces fils ou structures de fils. Application à la réalisation de structures et de matériaux composites pouvant être chauffés par effet Joule ou pouvant être utilisés pour le blindage électromagnétique.
