PATENT APPLICATION - ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TICKET DISPENSER 1 ABSTRACT This invention relates to improvements in ticket vending or issuing mechanisms and machines incorporating the same. The new mechanism provides electromechanical operation suitable for microprocessor control while still providing mechanical operation such as is available from a coin slide. An objectof the invention is to provide a vending mechanism adapted to feed a continuous web of tickets to a point where the end of the ticket protrudes to allow it to be torn off by the vendee, with said mechanism incorporating a means of insuring only one ticket is procured by a vendee for a single purchase. Further objects of theinvention are to provide a method of jam detect, enhanced ticket shearing and thermal printing on the ticket.
