The invention relates to a double layer capacitor comprising: at least a pair of current collector plates that are placed in parallel to each other, flat electrodes containing aqueous electrolyte printed on opposing faces of said current collectors, such that a peripheral region is defined on each of said faces of said current collectors, which region is not covered by said electrode, and a separator interposed between said electrodes, the geometric form and size of said separator being identical to the form and size of said current collector plates, said separator having a central region permeable to said electrolyte, surrounded by a peripheral masked region which is non- permeable to said electrolyte, such that the permeable region of said separator coincide with the electrodes printed on the opposing faces of said current collectors, with respect to position, geometric form and size; wherein the pores in the peripheral region of the separator are impregnated with a suitable sealant, and wherein one or more layers of adhesives are deposited on said sealant in said peripheral region. Also provided are method involving printing techniques for preparing electrochemical cells based-energy storage devices, and printable composition suitable for the preparation of electrodes for electrochemical cells based-energy storage devices.

L'invention concerne un condensateur double couche comprenant : au moins une paire de plaques collectrices de courant parall­les l'une ~ l'autre, des ~lectrodes plates contenant un ~lectrolyte aqueux et imprim~es sur les faces oppos~es desdits collecteurs de courant, de fa×on ~ d~finir une zone p~riph~rique sur chacune desdites faces desdits collecteurs de courant, ladite zone n'~tant pas recouverte par ladite ~lectrode, ainsi qu'un s~parateur intercal~ entre lesdites ~lectrodes, dont la forme et la dimension sont identiques ~ celles desdites plaques collectrices de courant, ledit s~parateur poss~dant une zone centrale perm~able audit ~lectrolyte et entour~ par une zone p~riph~rique masqu~e non perm~able audit ~lectrolyte, de sorte que cette zone perm~able dudit s~parateur co~ncide avec les ~lectrodes imprim~es sur les faces oppos~es desdits collecteurs de courant, par rapport ~ leur position, leur forme g~om~trique et leur dimension ; les ports de la zone p~riph~rique du s~parateur sont impr~gn~s par un agent d'~tanch~it~ appropri~ et une ou plusieurs couches d'adh~sif sont d~pos~es sur ledit agent d'~tanch~it~ dans ladite zone p~riph~rique. Elle concerne ~galement un proc~d~ bas~ sur des techniques d'impression et servant ~ pr~parer des accumulateurs d'~nergie sous forme de piles ~lectrochimiques, et une composition pouvant Útre imprim~e et permettant de pr~parer des ~lectrodes pour ces accumulateurs d'~nergie sous forme de piles ~lectrochimiques.
