ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An electronic control apparatus for an internal combustion engine receives sensor signals indicative of various operating parameters of the engine and calculates the corresponding settings of actuators used to control the energy conversion process of the internal combustion engine. These settings are calculated through a computer from the source signals and from coefficients stored in a memory of the computer. A keyboard input device provides the computer with data so that it modifies the coefficient stored in a specified location of the memory in accordance with a specified numeral, which specified location and numeral being derived from the keyboard input device.
