According to the present invention, there is provided an electronic device for correcting a volume indicated by a gas meter, the device comprising pulse input means, connected to the gas meter for receiving pulses, means for determining a rough uncorrected volume from the pulses, means for determining a flow rate from the rough uncorrected volume and the frequency of pulses, memory means for storing a table comprising a plurality of meter factors each factor being indicative of a respective percentage of a maximum flow rate for the meter, means for calculating an uncorrected volume by multiplying an appropriate meter factor with the rough uncorrected volume such that the uncorrected volume is indicative of an uncompensated flow rate through the meter.

La présente invention porte sur un dispositif électronique permettant de corriger un volume indiqué par un compteur de gaz. Ledit dispositif comprend un moyen d'entrée de pulsions, relié au compteur de gaz pour recevoir des pulsions, un moyen destiné à déterminer un volume brut non corrigé en fonction des pulsions, un moyen destiné à déterminer un débit à partir du volume brut non corrigé et de la fréquence des pulsions, une unité de mémoire destinée à stocker un tableau qui comprend de multiples indices du compteur, chacun desquels indiquant un pourcentage respectif d'un débit maximal pour le compteur, un moyen destiné à calculer le volume non corrigé en multipliant un indice du compteur approprié par le volume brut non corrigé, de sorte que le volume non corrigé indique un débit non compensé par l'entremise du compteur.
