Composite worm gears having little residual stress are prepared by forming a tube (101) of synthetic resin by extrusion, compression molding, or centrifugal processing, and fixing the tube thus produced or rings (102) cut therefrom onto a boss (103) or core (105), preferably of metal. The process allows high performance high molecular weight thermoplastics to be employed.

L'invention concerne des vis sans fin composites présentant peu de contrainte résiduelle, préparées par la formation d'un tube de résine synthétique, par extrusion, par moulage par compression, ou par traitement centrifuge, et par la fixation de ce tube ainsi produit ou d'anneaux coupés à partir de ce tube sur une protubérance ou sur un noyau, de préférence métallique. Le procédé de l'invention permet d'employer des thermoplastiques de poids moléculaire élevé, de haute performance.
