ABSTRACT An electrophotographic photoreceptor disclosed herein has on a conductive base, a photoconductive layer containing at least a charge generation material and a charge transport material, the photoconductive layer further containing an organic acid, whose acid dissociation constant pKa in its aqueous solution is in a range of 2.1 to 4.3, in an amount of 0.001 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the charge transport material. The photoconductive layer may be the laminated-type photoconductive layer or the dispersion-type photoconductive layer. The electrophotographic photoreceptor according to the invention is excellent in durability. - 21 -
