ENAMEL FOR COATING STEEL ARTICLES Abstract of the Disclosure An enamel for coating steel articles comprising SiO2, TiO2, ZrO2, CaF2, Li2O and Na2O with the following ratio of the components, in percent by weight: Image The enamel may also comprise Cr2O3 or Co2O3 in an amount of 0.5 to 2 percent by weight. Said oxides ensure the preparation of an enamel of a green or blue color, respectively. The enamel efficiently protects steel articles from aggressive media, i.e. acids and alkalis. An enamel coating has good luster and high continuity, without pinholes. - 1 -
